Any employer who uses a local exhaust ventilation (dust/fume extraction system)  to control dust or fumes, must ensure that the system is effective and is in good working order.

As an Employer it is a legal obligation to ensure examination and test certificates of the LEV systems every 14 months.

C-Air Filtration, testing is carried out in accordance with the requirements of Regulation 9 of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health regulations (COSHH). The measurements taken are compared with the criteria for performance for ventilation systems given in HSG258 "Controlling airborne contaminants at work: A guide to local exhaust ventilation".

C-Air Filtrations engineers are fully qualified to British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) P601 standard - working to HSG258 the people who test  LEV systems should be ideally be P601 qualified.

If your test results prove unsatisfactory the company gives clear guidance as what to do to improve your LEV system in line with the regulations required.

Whether that be new extraction equipment or even replacement parts such as dust filters etc we will have the best solution and advice going forward for your company.
